Red Stitch Wine Who’s behind it: former S.F. Giants shortstop Rich Aurilia and L.A. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts Rich Aurilia and Dave Roberts were teammates on the Giants in 2007 and ’08 — and even after Roberts left to manage the Dodgers, he and Aurilia have remained teammates behind the scenes. They own a wine label, Red Stitch, along with their friend John Micek. The winemaker is Rolando Herrera, also of Mi Sueño Winery in Napa. What we thought: The whole panel went crazy for the Red Stitch 2022 Sierra Mar Vineyard Chardonnay, from Monterey County’s Santa Lucia Highlands. “I don’t like Chardonnay, but I like this,” Kahrl said.
